Vocational Rehabilitation: Includes a wide variety of services such as: Work Hardening Programs, Work Conditioning Programs, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and Physical demand analysis and Job site analysis.
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE): Used to determine work tolerances for return to work evaluation when the target job is unknown. It can be Job Specific (physical demands of the target job) or Medical-Legal (physical tolerances, loss of ability, and rehabilitation which results in loss of earnings and or future costs).
Job Site Analysis (JSA): A JSA establishes job performance criteria through job descriptions and employer interviews to provide information regarding speciific duties, and equpitment/materials used to perform these duties. Observation is also important in determining the physcial and psychosocial demands of the work environment.
This information is used to make the following discharge recommendations:

Work Conditioning/Hardening Programs: Consists of a fitness program which targets specific and non specific, job-simulated work tasks.
